The vision of the Wellness, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (WIDE) Committee is for the Department of Immunology to be an inclusive, supportive, responsive, positive, and inspiring environment for trainees, faculty, and staff in our common pursuit of immunological research and teaching excellence.
The immediate mission of WIDE (2024-2026) is fourfold:
· Integrate with IGSA to promote graduate student belonging and wellness
· Breakdown barriers by learning about trainees, faculty, and staff in the department
· Utilize existing department frameworks to spread the WIDE vision message
· Harness existing efforts within UofT EDI to provide EDI resources/programming to the Department of Immunology community
