PDF RESEARCH DAY - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - SHORT & LONG TALKS

Call for ABSTRACTS for PDF Research Day is now OPEN - Deadline: 25 March 2026 (5PM)

Send a 1 page abstract to Dr. Watts (tania.watts@utoronto.ca) with the title, authors, lab affiliation and abstract of around 250 - 300 words and whether you would like a long (25 minutes & 5 minutes for discussion) or short talk (7 minutes & 3 minutes for discussion).

Nominations are now open for the Department of Immunology Postdoctoral Research Award Lecture

The lecture will take place on April 8, following Postdoc/RA research day in room MSB 2172. Registration links for the event will be sent to members of the department directly.

  • Faculty members of the Department of Immunology can nominate a postdoctoral researcher (includes PDFs and research associates up to 7 years post PhD, see eligibility criteria).
  • Required documents: a Nominating letter, a CV of the nominated postdoctoral fellow.

BD Bioscience / Immunology Lecture Awards (View previous winners)

  • Congratulations to Dr. Bhupesh Kumar Thakur on being named the 2025 BD Sciences Immunology Postdoctoral Research Award recipient!
  • The BD Biosciences sponsorship for Immunology Postdoctoral Research Award will take place on 10 APRIL 2025, call for 2025 nominations is now closed.
  • Faculty members of the Department of Immunology can nominate a postdoctoral researcher (includes PDFs and research associates up to 7 years post PhD, see eligibility criteria).

IMM/COPRA Awards (View previous winners)

  • This collaboration award call is on hold.
  • Postdoctoral trainees pursuing their research in laboratories of principal investigators with a faculty appointment in the Department of Immunology can apply. Previous award winners are not eligible to re-apply for the same project; new projects will be considered. 
  • Required documents - a research proposal (2 pages max), a CV, budget plan. 
  • COPRA winners will give a presentation at the end of the  award, to be presented at the next Departmental retreat
