Department of Immunology Teaching Awards - now accepting nominations for 2024!


The purpose of these awards is to honour excellence by members of the Department in teaching graduate and undergraduate students.   

Candidates for these awards must be nominated by a student, a former student, or an Immunology faculty or staff member; self‐nominations are not accepted.   

Awardees will be evaluated based on nominations and course evaluations, and will be selected by a committee including the Chair, Associate Chair – Undergraduate Studies, Associate Chair – Graduate Studies, at least one other faculty member teaching an Immunology course, and a graduate or undergraduate student representative.

Department of Immunology Teaching Awards

Immunology Teaching Assistant of the Year
To be awarded to a graduate student teaching assistant in an IMM course who has demonstrated excellence in teaching.
Immunology Educator of the Year
This award recognizes outstanding contributions by faculty or staff to the teaching, training, and experience of graduate and undergraduate students in the Department of Immunology. These contributions may be evidenced by exceptional commitment to excellence in teaching, dedication, and being a role model to students, as well as by innovation in teaching in areas such as curriculum development and program administration.
